Welcome to winter fun at Spirit Mountain! Spirit is your destination for safety, fun, and learning…whether you are a child or child at heart. We love learning at all ages! With a variety of lesson options, we believe Spirit is the place to bring winter fun to anyone!
Reservations are highly recommended with a non-refundable deposit* as these programs do fill up on weekends and holidays.
Spirit Kids is the perfect program for your child who is between the age of 6 and 12 years old. We focus on providing a safe, healthy, and fun lesson to teach each student how to advance their ability or begin their journey in snow sports. Participants are placed in groups by ability level and age, the lesson portion of Spirit Kids is a group lesson.
Spirit Kids: Alpine Skiing or Snowboarding
$92 per child (ages 6-12)
2h lesson (10-12 or 1-3)

4h lesson (10-3 & pizza lunch 12-1)

Purchase a 4 pack of Spirit Kids lessons that can be used for kids within the same family. The 4 packs are valid for use on Saturdays & Sundays as well as holidays. All sessions must be used the season in which they were bought in.
Alpine (downhill) Skiing or Snowboard- ages 13+
The Learn To programs are designed to accelerate the learning curve by utilizing beginner specific equipment with easy-to-follow teaching techniques that has skiers and boarders linking turns and enjoying their first day on the snow.
$93 per participant (ages 13+)
1.5h Lesson
Offered on Saturday, Sunday and during Holiday hours at 10AM, 1PM, 3PM. (Lessons start promptly at these times, if you are late for your lesson you may be asked to join a later lesson during the day).
This package includes the full-day lift ticket, rental equipment, helmet, and 1.5-hour lesson.
Ages 3 and older:
We offer a variety of lesson options for those that are looking for a refresher, one on one teaching and more. Helmets are required and included for all snow sports lessons.
Private Lessons (alpine ski or board): offered any day we are open.

Reservations are limited so please make these online. If you have questions or want to make a reservation over the phone, please call our Snow Sports Department at 218-624-8516. All lessons must be paid in full when being reserved. All costs above will have applicable taxes charged. There are no refunds. If you call within 72 hours of your scheduled lesson, we can move it to a different day if there is availability. In the event we are closed, or you need to reschedule, we will reschedule your lesson for another time during the current winter season.

Home Educator Fridays at Spirit Mountain
Friday Programing consists of 3 consecutive weeks of alpine skiing and boarding with optional progressive lessons that pick up from where they ended the previous week.
Ticket & Rental are valid 10AM-4PM each Friday of your session. Lessons offered 10:30AM-12PM on Friday (students will be placed in groups by ability). All prices include tax.

An alpine ski & snowboard club for kids of all ability levels that are in 3rd-12th grade.
The Spirit Mountain Snow Club is a 3 week program is designed to get kids on the snow, learning, and improving their ski and snowboard skills.
Want a great way to provide an affordable, FUN, and healthy activity for kids ages 8-12? Our Snow Club Program introduces kids to a recreational sport that can truly be enjoyed for a lifetime. It encourages exercise and physical activity, and challenges participants to learn new skills. This program is for all ability levels and offered during the following sessions for skiing or snowboarding.
The program includes a lift ticket, alpine ski or snowboard rental, and 3 hour lesson for each visit. The lift ticket remains valid until the closing of each session day. However, participants only remain with an instructor for lesson portion.
Our World’s Greatest Field Trip is not your ordinary class outing. Offered during school hours, Tuesday – Thursday for grades 3rd-6th. Our field trip includes a lift ticket, ski rental equipment, and lesson. Minimum participation numbers and reservations are required.

Courage Kenny Ski & Snowboard has operated adaptive ski programs at Spirit Mountain since 1979. Courage Kenny offers one-to-one instruction in adaptive skiing and snowboarding techniques that accommodate people of all ages with a variety of disabilities.

Do you love to ski or snowboard? Volunteer with adaptive ski & snowboard! This is the volunteer opportunity for your active winter lifestyle.
If you’re a winter enthusiast, you can make a huge difference in someone’s life and have a blast as an adaptive Ski or Snowboard volunteer. You don’t need to be an expert, just willing to make new friends and help others. You’ll have fun, embrace winter, and introduce someone who has a disability to the exciting world of snow sports – an activity they probably never dreamed they could do.
Since 1979, Courage Kenny Ski & Snowboard has partnered with Spirit Mountain to bring outdoor, people-loving individuals together to volunteer and make the slopes available to everyone.
Courage Kenny Northland is seeking experienced skiers and snowboarders to join our team of over 90 northland volunteers and make the most of the winter months! You will receive training on adaptive equipment and techniques for teaching skiers and boarders with disabilities. No prior teaching experience necessary. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, have their own equipment and helmet but do not need to purchase a season pass or lift ticket to volunteer.

Give the gift of Spirit Fun with our gift vouchers. Gift vouchers can be purchased in denominations of $20, $50, $100, $150, or $200 and can be used for any purchases at Spirit Mountain (year round).
