Operations open 6/5/2026: Temporary Weather Hold - Due to thunderstorms and lightning in the area, both the Adventure Park and Mountain Bike trails will be temporarily closed until the storm passes. We will wait 30 minutes from the last lightning strike before reopening. When we make the call to reopen we will post here and on our social media stories.
Update (2:38pm): Thunderstorms have passed and we are currently working on reopening operations. In the Adventure Park, the alpine coaster, putt putt, and scenic chairlift are open now. The zipline and jumping pillow need extra time to dry off but will open within 30 minutes if no more rain falls. Chairlift-wise we are preparing to reload mountain bikers and will do a quick trail sweep to assess conditions of the trails.
Update (2:55pm) All bike trails (except for Things, Calculated Risk, Boss Hogg, Greenman, Lower Candyland, Lower Black Jump Line below Skyline) are open and ready to ride.

Mountain Bike Park is open! Dry weather and lots of sun dried out the trails and they're ready for you to get in some laps from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! The Adventure Park and Riverside Bar and Grill also are open.

Due to last night’s rain, our trails are thoroughly drenched and not suited for riding. All of our mountain bike trails are closed and we are asking people to stay off them to prevent damage.
The Adventure Park will be fully open along with the scenic chairlift today from 10am-5pm.
We are hoping that the trails dry out over the next 24 hours and will make an update tomorrow on the trails dry status for the day.

Our mountain bike trails are mostly open with a few closures due to trail maintenance and wet conditions The following trails are closed: Calculated Risk, Lower Black Jump Line, Greenman, Monkey Business, Port Gitchi-Gummi, and Anvil. The rest are open and ready to ride!

Summer kicks off this week at Spirit Mountain! We know you've been patient and we've been just as excited as you to get the mountain ready for summer fun.
Adventure Park Opening Day: May 22 - The alpine coaster, zipline, putt-putt course, jumping pillow, and scenic chairlift ride are back for another season of excitement. The park will be open Friday-Sunday from 10am-5pm as well as Memorial Day Monday (May 25). Starting June 17, extra days will be added and hours will be extended.
Mountain Bike Opening Day: May 22 - The snow has melted to reveal our mountain bike trails. Many of the trails are still muddy so we are asking folks to stay off until opening day. From May 22-June 14 we will be spinning the lifts Friday-Sunday from 10am-5pm (plus Memorial Day Monday) with extended hours and days coming June 17.
Campground Opening Day: May 20 - Located just steps away from the Adventure Park, Spirit Express II Chairlift, and the Superior Hiking Trail, the 73 site campground will be open 7 days a week for travelers who want a wooded retreat in the heart of Duluth.
Riverside Bar & Grill is currently open Thursday-Sunday with a full menu plus weekly specials. Stay tuned for announcements on our summer concert series.
