Latest Update

Operations Update: It looks like it’s going to be another amazing week of spring riding, and we are open all week! Our regular season hours will continue through Sunday, April 2nd, for both our Alpine and Nordic.  It has been such a great year for snow, and March has brought us the weather that has kept the conditions in great shape and should hold strong throughout the week.

Now we know the question on everyone's mind is: “Will this be the end?”  Maybe, but maybe not.  We are slowly seeing the effects of spring.  The overall condition of the hill can change fast, which is what we will continue to monitor.  With that said, we are optimistic that this won’t be the end, but we are still not quite ready to make that decision yet. Stay tuned for more updates later in the week.  Until then, get as many spring laps in as possible!

Hours of Operation:

Tuesday 3/28 – 1p-8 p

Wednesday-Saturday 3/29-4/1 10a-8p

Sunday 4/2 10a-6p

Beyond: TBD

***Just a reminder, there is less than one week left to get your 2023/2024 season passes at the lowest prices of the season.

Duluthians to Feel the Love during Spirit    Duluth Days

Spirit Mountain Recreation Area will offer Duluth residents $5 lift tickets, Nordic passes, rentals and tubing during its third annual Spirit  Hearts Duluth Days on Thursday, February 23, and Sunday, February 26.

The deeply discounted rates give Duluth residents a low-cost way to experience all that winter at Spirit Mountain has to offer and demonstrate Spirit’s appreciation for the support from the City of Duluth, which invests tourism tax dollars  in the City-owned recreation area.

In addition to reduced tickets and rentals, free beginner lessons are encouraged to ensure that less experienced skiers/boarders enjoy themselves safely.

The $5 lift tickets and rentals will be available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26. A special $5, one-hour Glow Tubing session will available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.

To minimize crowding and comply with other safety requirements:

  • Residents must make on-line reservations for tubing, lift tickets, Nordic passes, rentals and lessons at www.spiritmt.com. Electronic waivers must be signed for all tubing, tickets, passes and rentals.
  • Reservations are time-specific, and a late arrival will result in forfeiting the ticket.

Safety-related crowd control requires limiting the number of discounted tickets; time slots will be made available in a time-released manner to help ensure all residents have equal access.

Residents will be required to show a valid I.D. that demonstrates their residence in the City of Duluth when picking up these discounted tickets.

The Duluth-only discounts are:

  • Tickets: $5
  • Rentals: $5
  • Nordic passes: $5
  • Tubing: $5 for one hour of tubing on Thursday, February 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, Feb. 26

Ski or board beginner lessons: Free  (Thursday and Sunday Afternoons)

Come on out and enjoy some extended holiday hours on Monday February 20th from 10a-6p.
