Bike Rentals – Rentals

Want to try our mountain bike trails, or maybe your bike is out of commission? Rent a bike from us here at Spirit Mountain.  

We have a liminted rental supply of  Guirilla Gravity and Intense enduro bikes along with full face rentals  available at Spirit Mountain 

How to Rent: send an email to ac***********@sp******.com that includes your name, date of visit, and phone number, and we will give you a call or email to reserve ahead of time, or stop in during operation hours, bikes are first come, first serve during operations (Thursday-Monday (limited supply available)

 

Lessons

Our model of teaching and skill progressions are based on the core concepts from the Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association (PMBI).  

Beginner Mountain Bike Private Lessons

This 2-hour lesson is for those who are new to mountain biking or who are looking to get into mountain biking for the very first time.  This lesson will begin with flat ground stations to teach fundamental skills of mountain biking.  As the lesson progresses, riders will be introduced to the trail through the Skills Park and progress to the Duluth Traverse.  An out and back ride on the Duluth Traverse will give each rider a confidence-building experience. 

The Beginner Mountain Bike lesson will build confidence to progress those who are new to mountain biking.  

Details:  

  • $160  (includes lift ticket for the lesson, rental bike not included and would need to be reserved seperately) 
  • Lessons times start at 9:30 and run through early afternoon should be reserved way in advance of the day to guarantee a lesson.
  • Reservations are required 48 hours in advance, walk up lessons will be on a very limited basis and are not guaranteed to be available, limited number of rental bikes available
  • Reservations can be made for any day during the mountain bike season
  • Ages 6 and up-  All lessons are private with the opportunity to add on additional participants of a similiar level to the group for a discounted price (just ask)
  • Please check in at the ticket desk 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.
  • The Mountain Bike Academy and bike rental are based out of our Grand Avenue Chalet.

Beginner Downhill Private Lessons

This three-hour clinic is for beginner to intermediate level riders wanting to receive some coaching, insight, and tips into the world of downhill mountain biking.  Riders must demonstrate basic bike-handling skills prior to progressing onto the downhill trails.

Each three-hour clinic will start with laps in our Skills Park, where all riders will be instructed on fundamental skills to enhance their downhill riding as well as build confidence.  Following these initial laps, the clinic will then move to the chairlift, and riders will be guided down one of our beginner-level mountain bike trails.  Additional laps on the chairlift will be made as time allows.  After the clinic is over, your ticket, rental bike, and all protective gear are good for the remainder of the day.

  • Reservations can be made for any Saturday or Sunday during the mountain bike season
  • Ages 9 and up

  • The Mountain Bike Academy and bike rental are based out of our Grand Avenue Chalet.
  • Rental Bikes are available for rent on a limited basis.
