Operations Update: This weekend, Spirit Mountain is hosting over 200 downhill skiers as they race in a qualifier event. Racers are traveling from across the country, and the mountain will be buzzing with high-speed action.
If you’re here for the race, welcome! Please plan to base out of the Skyline Chalet, where racer operations will be centered.
If you’re not a racer, but planning to ride Spirit this weekend, here’s what you need to know:
- Spirit Mountain will be open for normal operational hours
- All three lifts, plus the rope tow and bunny hill, will be open to the public
- The Highline Lift will be the primary lift for Atmore racers and may experience higher traffic
- Bear Claw and Gandy will be closed to the public until 3:00 PM each day for racing. These runs will reopen for night skiing, but expect slick, race-prepped conditions
- Racers will be based out of the Skyline Chalet. For a better experience, we recommend non-racers park at the Grand Avenue Chalet unless you need lessons or rentals. Lessons and rentals are only available at the Skyline Chalet.
- Upper and Lower Nordic loops will be open during normal hours
- Tubing will be open during normal hours
Thanks for your flexibility as we host this exciting action-packed weekend on the mountain!
