That's All Folks! The winter season is officially over. Stay tuned for summertime announcements.
BONUS DAY #1: We are happy to say that we are fully open with the exception of the bunny hill (bunny hill will be open Friday and Saturday only). All operations will be out of the Grand Avenue Chalet including ticketing, guest services, and dining at Riverside Bar & Grill. 25/26 season passholders and March 2026 season passholders do not need to purchase day tickets as their passes cover their use of the hill. We will accept any trades, partner resort vouchers, and Indy passes that were valid during the 25/26 season during these 3 bonus days.
Riverside Bar & Grill will be open from 11am-6pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Starting next week, Riverside will be moving into summer hours and will be open Thursday-Sunday from 11am-8pm.
BONUS DAYS: We will reopen the hill for bonus ski days April 9-11! The mountain will be open from 10am-5pm daily with $45 day tickets. All services will operate out of the Grand Ave Chalet including ticketing, dining, and guest services. The Skyline Chalet will only be unlocked for restrooms and use of the seasonal locker rooms. There will not be any rental equipment available at either chalet. Parking will be limited at Grand Ave and there will be overflow across the street next to Burnett's/Ski Hut. There will be ski hill access from Skyline so season passholders can park there, but there will be no ticket operations out of Skyline.
We will post our open terrain soon, but we expect most of the hill to be open as well as our lone oak terrain park.
We will continue to update details as conditions and operations are confirmed.
CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! Our last day of operations was Saturday March 28. Thank you to everyone who came out this year!
Operations and Closing Date Information: We are nearing our final days here for the 25/26 winter season! We are currently operating with our spring hours, running the lifts from 9am-6pm each day. Our final day of operations will be Saturday, March 28.
Uphill Travel Policy: After the hill closes on Saturday night we will begin moving snow and building the arena for the AMSOIL Snocross National. We will allow uphill travel on Juggler Joe and Timber Cruiser. These trails will be unmaintained and no emergency services will be available. Travel at your own risk.
Nordic Trails: All Nordic trails are currently unmaintained. There are some patches with low snow coverage. Upper Nordic will close along with the lift access on March 28th at 6pm and the gate will be locked. Lower Nordic will remain open, but unmaintained, for skiers to use at their own risk.
Dining: Moosehead Saloon and Skyline Cafe will close on March 28 when the hill closes. Riverside Bar & Grill is open year round for dining and drinks except for the week of Snocross (March 30-April 8). Starting April 9, it will reopen Thursday-Sunday
Snocross: AMSOIL Snocross National is held on April 3 &4, 2026. Please visit the official website for times, tickets, and parking information: snocross.com/events/amsoil-snocross-national/. Parking will be extremely limited at Spirit and reserved for racers and handicap parkers. All spectator parking is located a the St. Louis County Fairgrounds in Proctor for $10 per vehicle. There will be a shuttle to and from Spirit.
Warm temperatures in the forecast this weekend! Bring your lightweight gear and enjoy a few laps with the sun on your face. Lifts will spin from 10am-8pm on Friday and Saturday and 10a-6p on Sunday before moving to our spring hours.
Snowpack, Tentative Closing Date, and Spring Hours Update:
Spring Hours Start Monday - We’re adjusting our lift hours to make the most of the sunshine and best snow conditions. From March 23–28, lifts will run from 9:00am–6:00pm daily. Ticket offices will continue to open 30 minutes before lifts start spinning. Rentals, lessons, and dining hours will also shift to accompany the lift operation hours.
Tentative Closing Date - The snowpack is still holding strong, setting us up for some great late-season conditions. As we wrap up the ski season, AMSOIL Snocross National will begin building the arena in preparation for the upcoming event on April 3 & 4. If weather remains favorable and the snowpack continues to cooperate, we may be able to extend the season with a few bonus days. Stay tuned for updates.
Monday 3/16: Open for regular hours 10am-8pm. We have a fresh groom all over the mountain and will be resetting the Lone Oak Terrain Park.
Operations: Closed all day 3/15/2026. We have made the difficult decision to close today for the safety of our guests and staff. Sustained high winds from the north are expected to continue throughout the day, and we will not be opening at any point today. If you purchased tickets online, one of our team members will be reaching out to you shortly.
We will assess conditions Monday morning and post updates on our Mountain Message page and social media channels if operations are delayed or closed for the day.

Friday Delay, Conditions & Operations Update: Last night's storm dropped a heavy blanket of snow over Spirit Mountain. We are seeing 6-18 inches of powder accumulation on the mountain due to wind.
Possible Lift Operations Delay: Forecasts are calling for the strong wind gusts. We may delay our opening a bit until wind speeds are slower. We will post here and on our social media if we make that call. UPDATE 9:00am: We are delaying our opening as wind speeds have not slowed down. We are hoping that these speeds taper off and we are able to open later today. Lone Oak Terrain Park will be open at 10am. UPDATE 12:00pm: Spirit Express II is up and running. Wind gusts on the Eastern side of the mountain are still a bit high and we are waiting for those to slow down before opening Highline.
Conditions & Grooming: We are grooming the terrain park, bunny hill, and part of Four Pipe but leaving the rest of the hill ungroomed for powder skiing.
SMASH This Weekend: On Saturday, March 14, SMASH returns with pond skimming, a rail jam, costume contest, specialty drinks, live music, and a whole lot of fun. Check out the whole shebang at https://spiritmt.com/events/
