DESCRIPTION:The 48th Annual Atmore Memorial Race is held at Spirit Mountain from January 30-February 1. We are excited to welcome some of the nations top racers to compete in the qualifying race. Race courses will be on Bear Paw and Gandy and will be closed to the public until 3pm daily. We are encouraging our non-racers to park at the Grand Avenue Chalet unless they need rentals which are only available at the Skyline Chalet.

DESCRIPTION:Update 8am 2/18/2026: \n\nDue to the storm\, we are not opening our lifts this morning. However\, we are keeping an eye on the forecasts and may reopen later today if conditions allow. For the Rucksack Challenge\, we will make an official call here by 1pm today.\n\n\n\nThe Ninety-Pound Rucksack Challenge is a ski mountaineering event honoring the legacy of the 10th Mountain Division. Each year\, participants at dozens of ski areas across the country ascend their local mountain on February 18 at 7:00 PM to commemorate the anniversary of the historic Riva Ridge ascent.\n\nFor the first year at Spirit Mountain\, participants will meet at the Grand Avenue Chalet at 6:30 PM with a 7:00 PM ascent. We will skin or hike up Double Jaw and ski down Four Pipe. How much weight you carry is up to you. Some people will be carrying the ninety-pound rucksack but others will be carrying 30% of their body weight. Carry what feels right to you and climb at your own pace. Headlamps are encouraged. After the challenge\, head to Riverside Bar & Grill\, which will be open for post-event food and drinks until 9pm.\n\nSeason passholders and alpine ticket holders can participate for free. You can also purchase a one-time event ticket for $10 (no lift access included)\, available for pickup at the Grand Ave Chalet starting at 6:00 PM. DESCRIPTION:Late Night @ Lone Oak is a special high-speed rope tow session under the lights from 9-11pm. Here is everything you need to know: \n\n\nFresh Groom – The park will be closed from 8-9pm for a fresh groom and rake prior to the event.\n\n\n\nMoosehead Open Late – The Moosehead Saloon will be open until 11pm for those looking to get a drink while overlooking the park. Food service will end at 9pm.\n\n\n\n\nWrist bands – The event is free for season passholders and people with a day ticket for February 27. You will need to swing by the Skyline ticket office to pick up your free wrist band. Wrist bands are available for $20 for people without a season pass or a day ticket and can be purchased at the Skyline Chalet ticket office.\n\n\n\nDownhill Skiing: The rest of the hill will close at 8pm and there will be no lift service.\n\n\nCome ride\, hang out\, and make the most of winter after dark.
