The Duluth XC Ski Club operates the Spirit Mountain Nordic Center under an agreement with the City of Duluth and Spirit Mountain. The club is responsible for maintaining and staffing the Nordic Center and coordinating its use by various user groups.

In order to offset some of the expenses, we have established the following recommended trail fees:

  • Individual Daily Donation: $8
  • Individual Annual Donation: $40
  • Family Annual Donation: $70
  • Student Annual Donation: $20

A fee box is located on the side of the Nordic Center building.  Cash or check only.  These fees will be implemented on the honor system, and no cards will be issued.  Payment is also available online.

The Spirit Mountain trails do not receive Grant-in-Aid funding from the state for their upkeep, so the financial responsibility lies with the Duluth XC Ski Club and the City of Duluth.  In addition, the club depends primarily on volunteers to keep this facility and the trails in good condition.

DXC regularly grooms the Spirit Mountain trails.  Groomers are volunteers and paid professionals paid by DXC.  We have made investments in new grooming equipment to create a great ski experience.  Click here for a map of the trails.

Donations are always welcome and serve to keep the Spirit Mountain Nordic Center open and provide for continuous improvement.
