Latest Update

Thank you, thank you, thank you! We wrapped up another season full of good times this past Saturday. SMASH was such a great celebration of the season, and we were stoked to share in that final day of winter fun with everyone who came out! Our thank you goes out to our season pass holders, guests, employees, patrollers, volunteers, and everyone who supports Spirit Mountain for another incredible winter season. We want to express our gratitude for how you helped make the fun of winter come. We also want to give a big shout-out to our crew's hard work during the winter that didn't want to come. We had so many incredible days on snow this season and had a lot of fun with everyone who came out.

Next season marks our 50th Anniversary, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!! Season passes are currently on sale at the lowest prices until April 1st. Don't miss out on the fun next season; lock in your pass today at the best rate of the year.

That said, it is official that all of our normal operations are now closed for the season. This includes uphill travel, alpine, nordic, tubing, and all food and beverage operations. Even though the weather has cut our season short, the snow our Mountain Ops crew worked so hard to make all season long will be sticking around for a bit longer. We'll recycle the remaining white stuff for two events – the cross-country US Super Tour Finals and Spring Nationals March 21-26 and the Amsoil Snocross National April 5 - 7.

Thank you again for all of your support, and we will #SeeYouAtSpirit again soon!!

This crazy warm weather did a number on the snow, but the crew has been fighting the battle. We will stay closed tomorrow, Thursday, 3/14, to let the crew do some snow magic and then reopen for the season finale on Friday and Saturday and run from 10a-6p on both days! What exactly the terrain will look like is still to be determined, but we will update you here as we know more. We are for sure down some of our beginner-friendly terrain. The plan is still to hold SMASH on Saturday and celebrate another season, even if it was the year winter didn't want to come. Thanks again to all of our wonderful supporters who play a huge part in making Spirit great. #SeeYouAtSpirit

We will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, March 13th. The record high temps the last few days have done a beating on what was already a weary hill. We may have lost this round, but we haven't given up all hope for the rest of the week. Our crew is still committed and fighting and will reassess the hill tomorrow to see what the possibilities for the rest of the week look like. Check back here tomorrow for more details.

The next few days are moving into some very warm spring weather, which could affect our operations throughout the week. Check back to our website and social channels for any updates as the hill ops crew assesses the condition of the hill as this weather unfolds.

Our crew has worked amazing feats this year to provide you with winter even when it didn't want to come! It's always hard to say goodbye, but all good things must come to an end. Spirit Mountain will finish our 23/24 season on Saturday, March 16th.

We will say goodbye to the season by hosting the Spirit Mountain Annual Spring Happening (SMASH). We are planning for a great day with a kiddie carnival, silly slalom, park jam, costume contest, and the annual slosh pit pond skip! Come in and wear a costume all day to receive a special $25 rate for a lift ticket (must be purchased online). Sign-up for this event will be available online on Wednesday of this week.

For those who want to enjoy the last days of winter fun at Spirit Mountain, we are offering $58 tickets online all week!!! Take advantage of the last days of winter with some end-of-the-season snow laps this week! #SeeYouAtSpirit

A message from our Executive Director

Friends:

The Spirit Team has worked miracles this winter, bringing you day after day of great terrain despite record-high temps and torrential rains!. We appreciate your encouragement and positive comments in person and online and are glad we could deliver winter when Mother Nature didn't!

As you might imagine, however, the unseasonably warm conditions have affected our hopes, goals and plans for this season. Therefore, Spirit will be closed Tuesdays in March and transition to spring hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, effective Saturday, March 2.

This still means 175+ hours of winter fun in March! With two-to-three feet of snow on our runs and nightly grooming that lays down beautiful, fresh corduroy, we look forward to offering you more good times at Spirit throughout the month.

Again, thank you for your support throughout this highly unusual season. It’s meant a lot to us.

Ann Glumac

Executive Director
