Nestled in a forest on the western high point of Duluth, Minnesota, Spirit Mountain Campground offers walk-in tenting as well as 73 campsites equipped with fire pits, picnic tables and electricity. Thirty-nine sites have water hook-ups, and two shower buildings offer 24-hour convenience.
Spirit Mountain overlooks majestic Lake Superior and the St. Louis Bay. Natural beauty abounds in the area – you can quickly and easily access water, hiking and biking trails and much more. The Trailhead for the Superior Hiking Trail is within walking distance of the Campground. And near the Campground there is an overlook area of Lake Superior, the bay, the St. Louis River, and the Aerial Lift Bridge.
Directly across from the Spirit Mountain Campground is the Spirit Mountain Adventure Park complete with “Timber Twister” Alpine Coaster, “Timber Flyer” Zip Line, and a 9-hole Mini Golf Course! In addition, we have a lift-access mountain bike trail system, and offer scenic chairlift rides on the Spirit Express II Chairlift. You can take a round-trip ride just to take in the fabulous views, or you can unload at the bottom of the mountain and enjoy lunch at our NEW Grand Avenue Chalet, then take the chairlift back up to the Campground when you’re done. The Riverside Bar & Grill is our restaurant and bar serving lunch and dinner; hours are seasonal, please check at campground office for updated hours.

The campground is located just minutes from Downtown Duluth, MN, Canal Park, Bayfront Park, the Lakewalk, shopping and many area attractions.
Rates: $40 water & electric, $37 electric only, $27 walk in tent camping, second tent 18 and under is Free, otherwise a tent fee of $20 is charged. Some sites cannot fit two tents.
